Machinic Domains

Austin TX

2018

Robotics and robotic fabrication are at the forefront of architectural discourse and emerging techniques of design in schools of architecture today. Machinic Domains is an exhibition that surveys a range of robotic-based research currently being undertaken within the School of Architecture at The University of Texas at Austin and highlights alternative domains for future research across all disciplines using robotics. The exhibition is a both a demonstration project and an information warehouse from which students and faculty may begin their own investigations, opening territories from which new research and design experiments can proceed.
